AB’den olumsuz karar: Türklere vizesiz Avrupa yok

Türkiye'de yaÅŸayan ve 2007 yılında 14 yaşındayken Almanya'daki ailesinin yanına gitmek için yaptığı vize baÅŸvurusu reddedilen Leyla Demirkan, hukuk mücadelesini Alman mahkemelerinin ardından Lüksemburg'daki Avrupa Adalet Divanı'na taşımıştı.

Adalet Divanı, Türk vatandaÅŸlarının AB ülkelerine 3 aya kadar vizesiz seyahat hakkı elde edebileceÄŸi Demirkan davasını karara baÄŸladı. Lüksemburg’daki mahkeme, Leyla Ecem Demirkan’ı vizeyle ilgili iddiasında haksız buldu. Bu kapsamda Türk vatandaÅŸlarının AB ülkelerine azami 3 ay süreyle turistik amaçlı vizesiz seyahat hakkı olmadığına hükmedildi.  

Avrupa BirliÄŸi Bakanı Egemen Bağış, son karar verilmemiÅŸ olsa da yaklaşımın son derece ayrımcı olduÄŸunu açıkladı. Divan'ın bundan önce vermiÅŸ olduÄŸu kararlardaki eÄŸiliminden farklı bir görüÅŸ ortaya koyduÄŸunu belirten Bağış, 'Türk vatandaÅŸlarının Avrupa'da hizmet alım hakkı olmadığı gerekçesiyle bu kararı almak hiçbir hukuk kuralıyla baÄŸdaÅŸmaz' ÅŸeklinde konuÅŸtu.

'Vize muafiyeti vatandaÅŸlarımıza analarının ak sütü gibi helaldir' diyen Bağış, 'Avrupa kendi çıkarlarını düÅŸünüyorsa yeni duvarlar örmek yerine köprüler kurmalıdır' ÅŸeklinde konuÅŸtu.
