Akkuş Belediyesinden yapılan yazılı açıklamada, Gökçebayır Mahallesi'nde 13 bin 500 metrekarelik alana 2 bin 376 panel kullanılarak kurulan güneş enerji santralinin üretime devam ettiği belirtildi.
Açıklamada değerlendirmelerine yer verilen Akkuş Belediye Başkanı İsa Demirci, "Doğaya zarar vermeyen, doğa dostu enerji üretimi konusunda Akkuş'umuz bir merkez olacak." dediklerine işaret ederek, şunları kaydetti:
"Hidroelektrik santrali, rüzgar enerji santrali derken Akkuş Belediyesi olarak bizler de yenilenebilir enerjiden istifade etmek ve ülkemiz ekonomisine katkı sağlamak amacıyla 2 yıl önce güneş enerji santralimizi kurmuştuk. Bu anlamda ilçemiz hidroelektrik, rüzgar ve güneş enerjisi santralleriyle Türkiye'deki 922 ilçe arasında tek konumda. Güneş enerji santralimiz 2023 yılında 850 megavat enerji üretirken belediyemiz bütçesine ise 3,1 milyon lira katkı sağladı."
Demirci, doğaya zarar vermeyen, doğa dostu enerji üretimi konusunda ilçedeki çalışmaların devam ettiğini bildirdi.
