Akşehir Cumhuriyet Meydanındaki tepki mitingine; Akşehir Kaymakamı Yalçın Sezgin, Akşehir Belediye Başkanı Salih Akkaya, AK Parti İlçe Başkanı A. Bahadır Örs, İlçe Emniyet Müdürü Erkan Çelik, İlçe Jandarma Komutanı Binbaşı Ali Uslu, kamu kurum müdürleri, belediye meclis üyeleri ile binlerce vatandaş katıldı.Saygı duruşu ve İstiklal Marşı'nın okunmasının ardından Akşehir Belediyesi Mehter Grubu gösterisi eşliğinde tekbirler getirilerek, darbeye teşebbüs edenler aleyhine slogan atılarak lanet edildi. Kuran-ı Kerim tilavetinin ardından binlerce kişi hep birlikte dua etti. Akşehir Belediyesi tarafından meydana kurulan dev ekranda Eski Başbakan ve AK Parti Konya Milletvekili Ahmet Davutoğlu’nun Konya Mevlana Meydanı’nda yaptığı konuşma canlı olarak izlendi.Akşehir Belediyesi, demokrasi nöbetine katılan vatandaşlara da her gün çeşitli ikramlarını yapmaya devam ediyor. Demokrasi nöbetine katılan vatandaşlara Türk Bayrakları dağıtımı yapılırken, mobil ikram çeşmesi vasıtasıyla gül şerbeti, ballı süt ikramı yapılıyor. Ayrıca vatandaşlara su, kek dağıtımı da yapılırken gece saatlerinde de sıcak çorba ve çeşitli ikramlar yapılıyor.
