Konya Orman ve Su İşleri 8. Bölge Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Beyşehir Milli Parklar Şefi Mehmet Şener, yaptığı açıklamada, Orman ve Su İşleri 8.Bölge Müdürlüğü tarafından bölgedeki kuş varlığı ile ilgili bir kitap çalışması başlatıldığını söyledi. Türkiye'nin kuş cennetleri arasında yer alan Beyşehir Gölü Milli Parkı'nda bugüne kadar 153 kuş türü tespit edildiğini belirten Şener, "Beyşehir Gölü Milli Parkı'ndaki kuş varlığına ait üreme, kuluçkaya yatma, barınmalarına ilişkin bilgilerin yer aldığı bir kitap en kısa zamanda basıma girecek" dedi.Şener, Beyşehir Gölü Milli Parkı'nda her yıl kış ortası kuş sayımı da yapıldığını hatırlatarak, bu yıl da bu çalışmanın Orman ve Su İşleri 6 ve 8.Bölge Müdürlükleri ile Selçuk Üniversitesi Kuş Gözlem Topluluğu'nun da yer aldığı 4 ayrı ekip halinde yürütüldüğünü söyledi
