Katar resmi haber ajansı QNA'da yer alan habere göre, Katar Dışişleri Bakanı Al Sani, Fransız mevkidaşı Le Drian ile telefon görüşmesi yaptı.
Görüşmede, iki ülke arasındaki ilişkilerin ve geliştirilmesi yollarının yanı sıra Körfez'deki gelişmeler ve ortak öneme sahip konuların ele alındığı kaydedildi.
Suudi Arabistan, Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri, Bahreyn ve Mısır yönetimlerinin 5 Haziran'da Katar ile tüm diplomatik ilişkilerini kesmeleri Körfez bölgesinde krize yol açmıştı.
Katar'a ambargo uygulayan 4 ülke, ilişkilerin düzeltilmesi için Doha yönetimine 13 maddelik talep listesi sunmuş, Katar ise uluslararası hukuka aykırı hiçbir talebin kabul edilmeyeceğini açıklamıştı.
