FETÖ’nün 15 Temmuz’daki darbe girişiminin ardından Konya Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı’nın başlattığı soruşturma kapsamında İl Emniyet Müdürlüğü Terörle Mücadele (TEM) polisi tarafından örgüte finans sağlayan ve örgüt faaliyetlerine iştirak eden kişilere yönelik operasyonlar devam ediyor. Bu sabah Konya merkezli 17 ilde akademisyenlere yönelik düzenlenen operasyonda Selçuk Üniversitesi’nde ve Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi’nde daha önce açığa alınan 54 akademisyen hakkında gözaltı kararı çıktı. Şüphelilerin evlerine düzenlenen operasyonda aralarında doçent, yardımcı doçent ve araştırma görevlisi bulunan 29 akademisyen gözaltına alındı. Selçuk Üniversitesi eski rektörü Prof. Dr. Hakkı Gökbel hakkında da yakalama kararı çıkarken, Gökbel’in firari olduğu öğrenildi. Konya Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde sağlık kontrolünden geçirilen şüpheliler, daha sonra sorgulanmak üzere emniyete götürüldü.
