Olay, Uluyol mahallesindeki Uluyol Polis Merkezi önünde meydana geldi. Polis merkezine bombalı araçla saldırı düzenleneceği ihbarı üzerine teyakkuzda olan emniyet mensupları, şüpheli bir şekilde Uluyol Polis Merkezine yaklaşan ve ‘dur’ ihtarına uymayan araca ateş açtı. Ahmed-i Hani Parkı’nın duvarlarına çarparak duran araçtaki Erhan Tanrıkulu (25) hayatını kaybetti. Cenaze olay yerine gelen ambulansla Doğubayazıt Devlet Hastanesi morguna kaldırıldıktan sonra ambulansla Erzurum Adli Tıp Kurumuna gönderildi.Olayla ilgili inceleme başlatıldı.
