Olay, saat 14.00 sıralarında Merkez Mahallesi, Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Caddesi’nde meydana geldi. Rahatsızlığı nedeniyle sağlık merkezine gelen 38 yaşındaki Mahbup Uzunay, sağlık merkezinin önüne geldiği sırada binadan düşen beton parçasının kafasına düşmesi sonucu ağır yaralandı.
İlk müdahalesi sağlık merkezinde çalışan doktorlar tarafından yapılan Uzunay, olay yerine gelen 112 ekipleri tarafından hastaneye kaldırıldı. Uzunay yapılan tüm müdahalelere rağmen hayatını kaybetti.
